Join Leah at Plas Newydd to forage and make your own wild ferment!
This 3 hour experience will run from 10am to 1pm and take place in picturesque surroundings of Plas Newydd in the heart of Llangollen.
You will be guided through all the fundamentals of foraging, learn how to safely identify edible and medicinal plants and fungi, as well as which ones to avoid! You'll learn the identification process, nutritional, medicinal and practical value of the wild ingredients we find along with some fascinating folklore! We will gather the ingredients to make your very own wild kraut to take away with you.
Once you’ve booked on, further details will be emailed to you ahead of the event.
Please arrive ten minutes early so we can start on time.
Suitable for most fitness levels, the walk is short and on pathways but is slightly steep in some parts. We will stop frequently to talk about the plants we find.
Children are welcome! Under 10’s go free - only one child per adult please. Over 10’s tickets available.
This event is outdoors so please dress appropriately for the weather come rain or shine!
