Please note this is a private workshop for members of Bristol Hiker Girls only - Please see other listings for public bookings
Join Leah for a foraging walk at Chew Magna's stunning Community Farm, as we forage through the seasons and discover the abundance of wild food and medicine growing around us. From the Spring greens which help re-invigorate our bodies after a long Winter, to the edible flowers and seeds of Summer and through to the fruit laden hedgerows of early Autumn.
Leah will guide you on a walk around the farm where you will explore the abundance of wild food the land has to offer. Learn about the edible, medicinal and practical applications of the plants, trees and fungi we discover along the way. You will be shown how to safely and sustainably identify and gather wild food, whilst getting hands on and exploring with your senses. There will be plenty of hints and tips on how to use the ingredients we find, as well as learning some fascinating folklore about them.
This walk will help you to connect to the environment around you and empower you to go on and learn more. It will be an exploration of the senses as we discover natures abundance.
Soak up all this new knowledge while absorbing your picturesque surroundings, from the farm to Chew Lake.
If for some reason you can no longer attend this workshop, you may pass your place onto a friend without notifying me, but they must give your original booking details. A minimum of 14 days notice before the date of the workshop is required to reschedule. If there are no suitable alternative dates you can either have a voucher to redeem anytime within 1 year, or a refund minus the booking fee of £5.
